Nonprofit does not inherently mean "dumb" business. As a matter of fact, the business model chosen by the people of Terrace, Canada (kind-of similar to that of Green Bay and their Packers) demonstrates that the goal of preserving a valued treasure (mission) can be achieved through a business model of providing a great service at a reasonable price and financed by the "owners". This business is essentially illustrating what I believe to be a correct interpretation of the term "nonprofit" which is "profit distributed". For the article, see the New York Times.
