According to NewsOK, "Intentional Influence is an initiative that pairs emerging Christian leaders who have a desire to serve on local nonprofit boards with faith-driven local nonprofits."
While I recognize the moniker Intentional Influence has a singular focus for these Oklahoma Christian leaders, I'm thinking that this same moniker should be added to the list of the recruitment literature and rationale for all those Governance Committees out recruiting those who might serve on their boards.
Yes, intentional influence is what I believe a clear motivator, often un-cited, for those who might want to join a particular board. Not only is board service reflective of a personal Theory of Change (what folks see as the universe they care about, what folks think is a good solution, and, what will be the desired result if the solution is applied) but it is also a motive for ensuring their personal agenda has feet and is pursued in a partnership with those who share this Theory of Change.
Intentional Influence: that's a good language.
