The New York Times this week is facilitating an on-line conversation about Community Philanthropy. Lorie Slutsky, president of the New York Community Trust, will "answer questions on community philanthorpy, the value of many different approaches to charitable giving, and their importance in maintaining a strong democracy."
I believe this is an important conversation that should be held throughout the country and Lorie is well equipped to lend her thinking. For the moment though, I would ask folks to just glance at some really excellent questions that are forming what should be a conversation that extends beyond one week.
Thanks to both Lorie and the New York Times.
