Ron Mattocks has written a clever little book on governance entitled: The Zone of Insolvency. For more information about the book, go to www.zoneofinsolvency.com.
This little book offers colorful and entertaining reading, as Mr. Mattocks provides fairly graphic depictions of some of the great (to date) shipwrecks in nonprofit history. And, as entertaining as the depictions are, Mr. Mattock has gone the extra mile to add about 100 "strategic" questions, offered in groups of 5 following each shipwreck, for nonprofit boards and/or their committees to ask to help them keep their own ships afloat and avoid the submarine-infested waters that even more-so today affect the nonprofit community.
Can I live without Zone of Insolvency - sure? Would I have missed some interesting storytelling - absolutely. And, can I benefit from Mr. Mattocks' questions - certainly?
Why not pick-up a copy?
This is a good bool. There has been a lot of not for profit (what we call them in the UK) firms going insolvent in the UK recently and it is good to get this viewpoint.

Your social media audience buys your brand's message and buys into your thought leadership. Those buys come first in the form of comments and conversations. They translate into endorsements, testimonials and then referrals. They all help you drive qualified prospects to your site.

whoah! it is good to have a copy of that book. It is good to get educated before you get into trouble of insolvency.
However, I do think also that having that book when you are already facing insolvency now. I think it would give solutions in some ways and would guide to think positively.
